Supplement Reviews

What are Supplements?

Supplements are specially designed ergogenic aids with specific technologically advanced functions used to enhance athletic and physical performance in conjunction with a normal dietary intake.

Who will benefit from using Supplements?

There are 3 qualifications:

You must have a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet

You must be training with consistency, precision and intensity

If you are unsure of how a particular product will affect you, you must ask your Doctor

If you have ticked the above 3 points and you are a healthy weight trainer, bodybuilder, fitness enthusiast or athlete then you can enjoy the excitement and benefits of using great Supplements

How do Supplements help bodybuilders and weight trainers?

There are many supplement categories with many different functions but the main goal achieved by these products from one direction or another is: BUILDING MUSCLE

You have Creatine products for increased energy and cell volumization

You have Nitric Oxide for extreme muscle pumps and blood flow

There are Amino Acid products like Glutamine and BCAA's for recovery

You have Protein Powders and Protein Bars for building, re-building and sustaining muscle

You take Pre-Workout powders and drinks for increased training intensity

You can amplify the activity of your hormonal system with various testosterone boosters

And there are many more, but, at the end of the day it all comes down to facilitating increases in Strength and Muscle Growth...

Which Supplements should I take and what brands can I trust?

This is not an easy question but an extremely important one. If you have had a look at some of the countless supplement websites on the internet and discovered there are literally hundreds of manufacturers and THOUSANDS of products you will be daunted at the huge task of deciding which supplements are suitable for you.

You need products that are safe, effective, good value and specific to your individual needs. So what are you going to do?

Answer: Research.

Read the product reviews from the manufacturer and familiarize yourself with the individual ingredients

Read the product reviews from sources external to the manufacturers such as bodybuilding website forums

Research the individual ingredients, their level of quality and what they do

Compare prices with regards to ingredient composition and product volume

Ask someone who you can trust...and that would be me.

How will I help you?

I have been training since the early nineties and what I would call the birth of modern day Supplements. Back then all protein powders tasted disgusting, wouldn't mix and would give you runs. Creatine was so basic that it ruined your kidneys, gave you headaches and stomach cramps. There was no such thing as nitric oxide products, pre-workout drinks or the host of other amazing supplements that we take for granted today. Over the next 15 years I experimented with most products and have an encyclopedia of supplement knowledge and experience that I will happily share with anyone seeking advice.

Unlike most supplements reviews that you will come across ALL of the products that I have reviewed I have used. It is only fair that if I can recommend a product for someone else then I would have to recommend it for myself as well.

Over the coming weeks, months and eventually years I will continue using, reviewing and adding Supplement products and categories to the Australian Weight Training Supplement Review. I hope this information will be a big help to you.
